THE PETRIE METHOD of Hypnosis
In 1957 the American Medical Association and the British Medical Association gave the Science of Hypnosis it's stamp of approval as a safe, efficient and effective modality of treatment. It was in that same year that the Institute for Hypnotherapy was founded by Sidney Petrie to meet the need for a reliable center of which the public could attend and physicians and other professional agencies could refer their patients in need of hypnotherapy.
The specially designed Petrie Method of Hypnosis used exclusively at the Institute for Hypnotherapy, produces the relaxed hypnotic effect necessary for successful therapy in an organized step-by-step procedure that allows the subject to respond naturally and effortlessly.
Since the inception of the Institute for Hypnotherapy, more than a quarter of a million people have attended these programs, which have been steadily amended and improved so that they now represent what we believe to be one of the most effective and dynamic systems of hypnotic behavioral conditioning available today.
